She became interested in myopia while treating patients at Stanford as a resident and has continued to pursue her mission to improve our means of treating and preventing high and pathological myopia and their sequelae as a member of the vitreoretinal surgery faculty.ĭr. Michels Fellowship Foundation Award for outstanding fellows as well as Harvard's Thomas J. Subsequently, she underwent a 2-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear at Harvard Medical School where she was honored with the Ronald G. Ludwig graduated summa cum laude from Duke University with training in Biology, followed by medical school and residency at Stanford University where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received numerous awards for her research including the prestigious Heed Fellowship. Ludwig, MD, MS is a Vitreoretinal Surgeon and Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology at the Byers Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology, at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
